2 Hour TN SAFE: Tennessee State Law
This is a Tennessee-specific classroom equivalent (CEQ) pre-licensing education elective course for new mortgage loan originators (MLOs). This course satisfies the 2 hour Tennessee mortgage pre-licensure education requirement.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand who has to be licensed in TN
- Describe licensing requirements at initial licensure and renewal
- Relate recordkeeping & reporting requirements
- Identify required notifications
- Describe what is considered a prohibited act and practice
- Relate the requirements for advertising under TN state law
- Understand the role and actions of the Department in relation to disciplinary action
- Identify the requirements for high-cost home loans under the TN Home Loan Protection Act
